May

Where did the month of May go? I think with all that was going on and all the rain I lost track of it. Here are our May happenings.

Kylee finished Kindergarten. (sniff, sniff)
We actually finish a room in our basement!! Bailey was able to move downstairs and Ryker now gets his own room and so do Scott and I.
Kylee playing spring soccer. She did a great job, and even scored a goal this year. Too bad the season doesn't last long I think they were just starting to get the hang of it.

Bailey at his Karate tournament. He took 3rd place in this weapons division, against some 3rd degree black belts. Way to go Bailey.Ryker hanging out in the hotel in SLC for the tournament. He loved everything except for the pool. Go figure :)

Spring Break

Wow I almost broke my goal the very first month! Maybe doing a post every month is going to be harder than I thought. :o) But I will keep trying.

We decided we needed to get out of town at least one day for Spring Break. And since it was snowing an we couldn't do anything outside we got in the car and headed for Salt Lake. We took the kids to the Living Plant Aquarium, and we took Dad to Cabelas.

At Cabelas we got a pop guns for Ryker and Kylee. Ryker love it. He would hang onto the barrel of the gun and hold the butt of the gun up like he was shooting all the animals, even the fish. I definitely think he is going to be daddy's little huntin buddy. I can't believe how much of this stuff comes preprogramed in their little brains. Anything that is somewhat straight or slightly resembles the shape of a gun gets shot.

The kids love the Aquarium. It was a great indoor adventure. Obviously we weren't the only ones that thought that as we say a few people from Cache Valley that we knew.The had Stingrays that you could touch as they swam around. Kylee wouldn't try it. Dad and Bailey did and said they were pretty slimy. I just tried to keep Ryker from jumping in with them.

The penguins were so cute and boy can they swim. It was fun to watch them swim to the side and with out slowing down the would jump out of the water up onto the rocks.

There where also some very odd creators there. It sure is amazing how different some of them where.

Turkeys

Turkeys, turkeys, turkeys.... we've had so many wild turkeys around this year. The first year there were a few and it was kinda cool to have them around. Now just a couple of years later they are taking over. There are times that there are probably a hundred or more roaming around our block. I was worried about the deer eating all my tulips I plant in the fall, but the turkeys have already eaten most of what have came up. You have to watch where you walk when you go out so you don't step in poop. So we've came up with our turkey patrol!!!! Kylee ran to get her play gun one day and now Ryker thinks that is what you do when you see the turkeys. Man, some days I really wish they could take out a couple.

Time to play catch up

Ok so I have been horrible with our blog for the last year. My new goal is to post at least once a month. That shouldn't be too hard, but we'll see. I think the other post about catch us up to current. A few things I don't have pictures of... Kylee has lost 3 teeth and Ryker has 3 teeth. Bailey just earned his Star in scouts.

Bailey's Birthday

For Bailey's Birthday we went to see the Globetrotters play. It was a great day spent with family.

Winter Fun

This is Rykers first real snow adventure. (February 2011) Yeah pretty sad he was 16 months. The first year he was just to little and I'm just not a big fan of the cold so when we got another snow storm in Feb. I figured I better get him out there before he is 2. He loved being pulled on the sled and Kylee had fun making the snowman. The snowman didn't last very long, but we can at least say we got one made.

Mom finally gave in and let Kylee get her ears pierced for her 6th birthday. We also cut her hair short so now she looks so old. Where did my baby girl go.

Bailey ran a 5K and got 2nd place for his age group. Way to go B!!

Bailey and the cousins taught Kylee to ride her bike with out training wheels. We tried and tried, but of course she will do anything for the cousins. At least she did it and the rest of the summer we couldn't get her off of it.
